“We like Milano” – the first multi-touch collection of neighborhood’s stories

We like Milano

It all started in the spring of 2014. Camera under his arm, Maurizio Scalzi has walked the neighborhoods of Milan, hunting stories, feelings and emotions related to the transformation of his city, towards the Universal Exposition 2015. The result is a storytelling along 15 districts from the south-east to north-west along its borders where it has been created the largest Expo site. The result, under the high Patronage of the City of Milan, is an incredible polyphonic collection , made of very different looks , with suggested itineraries, sense of community, of local recipes, smells and flavors. Through interviews, stories, highlights such as the Toy Museum or the Balera dell’Ortica, in addition to the character of the “Milanese” with unknown areas and often wrongly ignored in the city – one for all Bicocca Area – emerged the new spirit of a multiethnic and multicultural city, to which is now tight to the perimeter of the center only more famous.

15 videos for 15 mini-stories and over 150 unpublished photos on high definition draw a mosaic, as a genuine tribute to the communitarian spirit of entire neighborhoods. It is the portrait of a complex identity that follows its evolution from village to metropolis, from industrial center to capital enterprising and creative, from capital of fashion and design to global and multiethnic agglomeration, under a system of respect, balance achieved or just sought.

To the images, dense and exciting, the task of summarizing the new Milan through what is a real reading experience interactive and criticism 2.0.
