Sultry summer temperatures both inside and outside the venue couldn’t stop South Korean rock prominent CNBLUE from delivering a masterclass in live entertainment for the opening night of their “2026 CNBLUE LIVE WORLD TOUR ‘3LOGY’ IN EUROPE.” Even though the Uber Eats Music Hall was entirely arranged with seating, the restriction became meaningless the second the band took the stage. An diverse crowd spanning all generations stood on their feet instantly, maintaining an incredible, arena-wide energy from the opening note to the final goodbye.

Charisma, Comedy, and Connection on Stage

The three-piece lineup brought an infectious enthusiasm to the stage, instantly connecting with the German crowd by sprinkling local phrases into their commentary:

  • Jung Yong-hwa (Leader, Main Vocals, Guitar/Keyboard): The ultimate showman commanded the stage effortlessly, repeatedly pausing between songs to look out at the crowd and passionately declare his absolute love for the audience.

  • Kang Min-hyuk (Drums): Driving the night’s relentless rhythm section, Min-hyuk won the crowd over during talking breaks with a lighthearted confession, revealing his newfound obsession with local German currywurst.

  • Lee Jung-shin (Bass, Vocals): Holding down the low end with flawless precision, the bassist looked visibly overwhelmed by the roaring reception and strictly promised the crowd that he would make a return to Germany.

The members constantly shared their appreciation for how beautiful the country is, while sharing a few laughs with the crowd about surviving the intense, current summer heatwave together.

BOICE Take Over: Fan Projects Create Unforgettable Highlights

The unbreakable bond between CNBLUE and their dedicated fandom, BOICE, took center stage through a series of beautifully executed fan initiatives. Guided by fan-distributed project flyers before the show, the audience helped craft the night’s most memorable visual landscapes:

  • The “Bliss” Banner Waves: Fans collectively hoisted customized hand banners during the performance of “Bliss” and kept them raised for the traditional official closing photo, creating a stunning sea of paper messages.

  • A Warm Sea of Lights: For the deeply moving track “The Temperature of Memory”, the entire arena dimmed its phone lights in favor of brought-in LED candles, transforming the space into a soft, swaying galaxy of warm light.

  • A Surprise Birthday Serenade: Right as the official closing photo was being prepared, a special fan-made tribute video flashed across the screens. Immediately after, the entire room broke out into a massive, synchronized English rendition of “Happy Birthday” to celebrate Yong-hwa and Min-hyuk’s recent birthdays.

Combined with thunderous, echoing chants of “Encore!” during the brief intermissions, the crowd proved they were just as much a part of the performance as the band itself.

Setlist Breakdown: A Legacy of Hits

The night’s tracking sheet was an expertly curated journey through the band’s extensive, multi-era discography, balancing heavy rock instrumentation with emotional, sing-along anthems.

High-Octane Foundations

The trio wasted no time setting a frantic pace, launching directly into a heavy-hitting introductory run of “Ready, Set, Go!”, “Catch Me”, and “Racer”. The nostalgia factor hit an early high when the band pulled out “Intuition”—the funk-laced staple from their 2011 studio debut First Step—prompting a flawless, venue-wide sing-along. Modern, groove-heavy rock tracks like “Lowkey”, “99%”, and “Bliss” kept the dance floor energy moving seamlessly.

Emotional Cores and Boiling Points

After delivering the punching rhythms of “Domino” and the massive stadium-rock frequencies of “Radio”, CNBLUE threw it back to their Bluelove era with the unmistakable melodies of “Love”.

The concert then dipped into deep introspection. The hauntingly beautiful “The Temperature of Memory” paired perfectly with “Then, Now and Forever”—the poignant title track of their RE-CODE mini-album that beautifully reflects their growth as a matured rock trio. Sensing the end of the main set, the band amplified the intensity one last time, driving the crowd into a frenzy with the explosive classic “I’m Sorry” and the frantic, modern punch of “Killer Joy”.

The Monumental Encore

Answering the crowd’s passionate demands, the band returned for a multi-song encore stretch that felt like a secondary concert in its own right:

  • “Loner” (Oetoriya): The historic 2010 track that started it all was met with immediate, roaring recognition.

  • “You’re So Fine” & “Again”: Infused the arena with an upbeat, sun-drenched pop-rock atmosphere.

  • “Anthem of Life”: Brought a soaring, triumphant close to a monumental evening of music.

Final Thoughts

CNBLUE’s tour opener in Berlin was a definitive statement of why they remain a premier force in the Korean rock landscape after more than a decade. They defied a completely seated venue configuration, turning a standard arena layout into an electric, standing-room rock festival. If tonight was any indication, the rest of Europe is in for an absolute treat.
