Pro women’s 2021 IRONMAN European Championship to take place in Tahko, Finland

IRONMAN Europe, Middle East & Africa announced that the professional women’s IRONMAN® European Championship race will be held at IRONMAN Finland Kuopio-Tahko on August 14, 2021.

The professional men’s and all age-group European Championship titles will continue to be awarded at the Mainova IRONMAN European Championship in Frankfurt, Germany on August 15, 2021.

Both events will be streamed live to a global audience on IRONMAN NOW® on Facebook Watch. In addition, the IRONMAN European Championship race in Frankfurt will also be broadcasted live on hr TV in Germany.

Following the success of the 2019 Women for Tri race for Europe, Middle East and Africa at IRONMAN Copenhagen, which was won by current World Champion Anne Haug, professional women will this year share the full stage in Finland with the continent’s biggest title on the line.

It is also the first time Finland hosts a regional IRONMAN Championship event prior to the 2023 IRONMAN 70.3 World Championship. The two-day event will be held in the city of Lahti from August 26-27, 2023.
